It can also be found in many wetlands in Africa. As can be seen, although all are Purple-throated Glossy-tailed Hummingbirds, their origins, habits, and individual differences are quite significant. Most Purple-throated Glossy-tailed Hummingbirds prefer to eat plant seeds and berry-like fruits on trees. Some insects and small larvae are also their primary prey.
