Detailed introduction
The Long-billed Hermit (scientific name: *Phaethornis longirostris*) has no subspecies, and its specific habits are unknown. This species was formerly known as the Western Long-tailed Hermit, but was later renamed the Long-billed Hermit due to its long beak. The corresponding Eastern Long-tailed Hermit (*Phaethornis superciliosus*) is named the Long-tailed Hermit.
