Detailed introduction
The white-tailed trogon, scientifically known as *Trogon viridis*, has unknown habits.

White-tailed trogons nest in tree cavities, utilizing natural tree holes. Some species dig nests in decaying wood or inside ant or termite nests (eating the eggs, unfazed by termite bites). They lay 2-5 eggs, which are spherical, very light in color—white, gray, blue-green, or yellow—without spots. Incubation lasts 2-3 weeks. Chicks develop feathers 2-3.5 weeks after hatching. Both parents participate in raising the chicks, and the chicks are altricial.
Listed as Least Concern (LC) in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, 2009 version 3.1.
