Distribution and Habitat
It is distributed in south-central Africa (including the southern Arabian Peninsula and the entire African continent south of the Sahara Desert (Tropic of Cancer)).
Pelican swallows inhabit islands between 35° and 55° south latitude. Although their population has declined in recent years, their overall numbers remain large and not a cause for concern. They typically nest on slopes, but sometimes also on flat ground.

Detailed introduction
The Common Diving Petrel (scientific name: Pelecanoides urinatrix) is a small diving petrel.

During the breeding season, pelicans typically forage on the continental shelf; their behavior outside the breeding season is largely unknown. Like other birds in the pelican family, they use wing flapping as a propulsion for diving, allowing them to descend to depths of up to 60 meters. Pelicans primarily feed on zooplankton, crustaceans.

Protect wild animals and ban the consumption of wild game.
