Detailed introduction
The brown-backed woodpecker, scientifically known as *Dendrocopos obsoletus*, has unknown habits.

Woodpeckers feed on the sap of certain trees during specific seasons. In spring, male woodpeckers, each occupying their territory, call loudly and often peck at hollow tree trunks, occasionally striking metal to amplify the noise. During other seasons, woodpeckers are generally silent. Woodpeckers are mostly non-social, often living alone or in pairs.
