Distribution and Habitat
The Palawan Hornbill is found on Palawan Island in the Philippines. It is endemic to Palawan and has been recorded on nearby islands including Barabác, Busanga, Calauit, Culion, and Coron. Most birdwatchers visit Palawan National Park to see this bird, but it is now rare.
Appearance
The Palawan hornbill's plumage is primarily black with a white tail, a glossy dark green upper body, and a large, creamy white beak typical of the family helmeted hornbill.
