Distribution and Habitat
It is a climbing bird endemic to Indonesia, found only on Celebes Island, inhabiting the subtropical and tropical lowland humid forests of the island.
Appearance
The Purple-winged Buddha-Monk is about 30 centimeters long, with a black beak, bright blue above the eyebrows, dark brown back, dark purple-blue belly, greenish-blue wings, and dark purple wings. It is a relatively rare member of the Buddha-Monk family.
