Distribution and Habitat
The Atlantic roundtail shelduck is distributed in south-central Africa (including the southern Arabian Peninsula and the entire African continent south of the Sahara Desert (Tropic of Cancer)) and South America (including Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and the Falkland Islands).
The Atlantic roundtail shelduck is usually found in the middle and upper layers of the ocean and breeds on the islands of the Atlantic Ocean.

The Atlantic roundtail petrel is 40–43 cm long, weighs 420–720 g (abnormally 310 g), and has a wingspan of 104 cm.
